IHSW round up

I had a pretty successful IHSW even though I did not get anywhere near as much stitching time as I would have liked!

This is the "finish" of my Joan Elliott RR which will be sent off to the stitcher this week.  When it returns in about a year's time it will have seven fairies/angels in the boxes with just one left for me to do!

Edit:  Oops, I forgot to say a big thank you to Karen for taking my rather incoherent plans for the layout and poem and creating a clear pattern for me to work from.  Karen, you are truly the Queen of our RR. Thank you, lovely lady.

The fabric is actually a dusty pink and it took me ages and ages to backstitch the poem.

The poem says:
There are fairies at the bottom of our garden
They often have a dance on summer nights

I also worked on Santa's 12 Days of Christmas SAL which I do with Linda and Debbie, every Sunday (well, that is the plan, anyway).  One more Sunday and I think that I will be finished with Day 3 - yay!

Off to work in a little while.

Have a good day, everyone,

hugs,

Well, just look at that round robin piece! It looks great! I'm so excited to get it first, and so happy that I had a little part in setting up your layout. (Oops, my pride is showing.)

Hugs!

Wow Kaye. That round robin piece will be absolutely stunning when you get it back. I really like the layout of the boxes and the poem. Great progress on Santa 3. We haven't worked on Santa 4 in many weeks.

Where is your Castle update. lol

OOOO! I love your poem on there. I've never done a RR before. The ladies you send it to will pick whichever fairy they want?

Your layout looks great, it's not unlike my Mira one except I only have four blocks and stitched a centrepiece in the middle.
You're going to enjoy this RR so much, I'm wishing I had the time to do this one but the Mira is quite time consuming with its larger boxes. Fun though!

What a lovely RR you have started, Kaye! The outlined boxes are so pretty already. Just imagine how it will look when it comes back full of fairies!

Great progress on Santa #3! I haven't touched my Santa #4 in months!
