About Me

My photo
My name is Kaye and I am 58 years old. Unbelievably to me, at my age, I have now just embarked upon my third career - as a History Education Consultant! I love to cross stitch and quilt, especially with my kittens, Furio and Milo "helping" me. I also love to read, I have a passion for history and I have been cooking since I was about 12 - move over Junior Masterchef! So, this blog, which started out as a cross stitch blog sometimes morphs into a reading journal or a history lesson (sorry, I used to be a secondary teacher before I became a publisher and now a consultant) or a post about my cooking mojo. Whatever it is, this blog is alway about me, my family and my life here in Eaglemont, Victoria. I have been happily married for over 30 years to the most wonderful man and we are blessed with three beautiful grown up children.

Out of Control .....

.... on my Stash Empire Building!

Colours Down Under were having an online sale - Homespun Elegance designs for $2 each - how could I resist? I spent about $50 and all of these lovely designs were waiting for me when I got home from work last night!

One of the designs even come with some gold braid and a charm!

... and this is all of the designs together.

What a lovely big pile!  I am going to have fun with these, aren't I?

hugs,

P.S. Any ideas at to which one I should stitch first?  All suggestions welcome!

Great stash building! I suggest putting them all back in the envelope and stitch the first one you pull out:)

2$ each? I think I would have doen the exactly same thing, lol. Because HE belongs to my favourite designers. And I think I'd start with one of the witches. But whatever you choose to start with - enjoy!

Oh my Kaye. That looks like one of my buying sprees. Great stash. I vote for It Takes a Village. I hope you have room for the cut-thrus.

Stitch my favourite first - Witches Stitch Too, then you can give it away!!

By the way I spotted the missing chart, there is Winter, Autumn and Spring but no Summer. Either Furio hid it to punish you for going away or you need to go shopping again!

Oh my Kaye, what a lovely haul! And I was going to suggest you start with "I Love Summer" but then I remembered you are 'down under' so perhaps "Joyful Autumn"?! Anything you choose will be lovely, happy stitching! Deb

Spread them on the floor and whichever Furio lays on is the one.
