About Me

My photo
My name is Kaye and I am 58 years old. Unbelievably to me, at my age, I have now just embarked upon my third career - as a History Education Consultant! I love to cross stitch and quilt, especially with my kittens, Furio and Milo "helping" me. I also love to read, I have a passion for history and I have been cooking since I was about 12 - move over Junior Masterchef! So, this blog, which started out as a cross stitch blog sometimes morphs into a reading journal or a history lesson (sorry, I used to be a secondary teacher before I became a publisher and now a consultant) or a post about my cooking mojo. Whatever it is, this blog is alway about me, my family and my life here in Eaglemont, Victoria. I have been happily married for over 30 years to the most wonderful man and we are blessed with three beautiful grown up children.

Warm as toast...

It is our coldest Winter in Melbourne for thirty or forty years...... Brrrr!  So, for the first time I have invested in a pair of UGG slippers.

So, now my feet are as warm as toast, and if you have warm feet you are all warm - lovely!

Now, don't forget to enter in my 2nd Blogaversary Giveaway, I added some extra gifts earlier (see these  posts here and here) it closes about the 2nd July or so - I may run it on a few days longer -
YOU CAN ENTER IN THE GIVEAWAY DRAW
 HERE.

.... and you can enter in the draw for the Travelling Pattern (Summer Garden by LHN) here - I will be drawing this in a couple of days, too.

Love your slippers Kaye. I'll send you some of my 110 during the day and 80 at night in your box of stash. I really am going to finish the lapghan so I can send your box. I sure hope you like all the charts I'm sending. With postage being so high, I want to stuff as much as I can in the box.
Hope mom is doing better.

I don't know why, but I never imagined it being cold in Australia, Kaye! Do you get snow? At least you have those cute slipper boots to keep your feet toasty now. They look incredibly warm :)

You had me at "coldest Winter...for thirty of forty years." You know I am envying you beyond measure right now!!! And those UGGS! I love UGGS! Thanks to UGGS, when I pass someone on the street & I hear them say "ugg," I know they're probably singling out one of my boots : )
