About Me

My photo
My name is Kaye and I am 58 years old. Unbelievably to me, at my age, I have now just embarked upon my third career - as a History Education Consultant! I love to cross stitch and quilt, especially with my kittens, Furio and Milo "helping" me. I also love to read, I have a passion for history and I have been cooking since I was about 12 - move over Junior Masterchef! So, this blog, which started out as a cross stitch blog sometimes morphs into a reading journal or a history lesson (sorry, I used to be a secondary teacher before I became a publisher and now a consultant) or a post about my cooking mojo. Whatever it is, this blog is alway about me, my family and my life here in Eaglemont, Victoria. I have been happily married for over 30 years to the most wonderful man and we are blessed with three beautiful grown up children.

.... and the winner is.....?

Hi everyone,

Oh dear, over a week since I posted!  I am so sorry, I have been stitching but I just have had little time to fiddle around with loading pics, etc.

My Dear Mum., although home, is still not well - she seems to be slowly fading away from us.  I am finding this very hard to deal with and I find that I am busy with endless phone calls with my sisters as we try to come up with strategies to make life easier for my parents and to respect their wishes as to how they live their lives.  Work, of course, is busy and I have had a few medical appointments myself with the upshot being that I will be going into hospital in mid August for a procedure (nothing dire - so please don't worry) which necessitates two nights in hospital and over a week off work!  So, my time is being pulled in oh so many directions!

I do have lots of bits and pieces to show you but that will have to wait until next post (Linda and Debbie) as I am just trying to dash this post off before dashing to the train!

Of course, the real reason for this post was to announce the winner of my 2nd Blogaversary Giveaway.

Drum roll please....

The winner is    Ilene.  Congratulations, please email me with your snail mail address and off we will go.

hugs,
