About Me

My photo
My name is Kaye and I am 58 years old. Unbelievably to me, at my age, I have now just embarked upon my third career - as a History Education Consultant! I love to cross stitch and quilt, especially with my kittens, Furio and Milo "helping" me. I also love to read, I have a passion for history and I have been cooking since I was about 12 - move over Junior Masterchef! So, this blog, which started out as a cross stitch blog sometimes morphs into a reading journal or a history lesson (sorry, I used to be a secondary teacher before I became a publisher and now a consultant) or a post about my cooking mojo. Whatever it is, this blog is alway about me, my family and my life here in Eaglemont, Victoria. I have been happily married for over 30 years to the most wonderful man and we are blessed with three beautiful grown up children.

Cut Thru Castle update

On Mondays, well only some Mondays to be honest, I stitch on my Cut Thru Castle, which I am doing as a SAL with Linda and Debbie.  I finally had the opportunity to pick it up again last night, so I have another progress photo to show you. Yay!

I also wanted to show you some more of my Spring garden. The first pic is me trying to be artistic by contrasting the still fairly wintry tree bough against the blooms.  I am not really a very good photographer but I do try! lol!

Here we go, my banksia roses on the garden arch:

Have a great Tuesday everyone,

Hugs, Kaye

Hurray for the Castle update! I added it to the SAL page.

How nice that you have a garden arch, and with roses all over it too!

I have metal bench with an arch over the top. It used to have bougainvillea all over it, but we had to chop it down to build a new fence. Now it's bare. :-(

Banksia rose looks beautiful - the wind has knocked ours so we don't have many flowers on it but we did have 2 wild cockatiels visit this morning. Love the cross stitch too ♥
