About Me

My photo
My name is Kaye and I am 58 years old. Unbelievably to me, at my age, I have now just embarked upon my third career - as a History Education Consultant! I love to cross stitch and quilt, especially with my kittens, Furio and Milo "helping" me. I also love to read, I have a passion for history and I have been cooking since I was about 12 - move over Junior Masterchef! So, this blog, which started out as a cross stitch blog sometimes morphs into a reading journal or a history lesson (sorry, I used to be a secondary teacher before I became a publisher and now a consultant) or a post about my cooking mojo. Whatever it is, this blog is alway about me, my family and my life here in Eaglemont, Victoria. I have been happily married for over 30 years to the most wonderful man and we are blessed with three beautiful grown up children.

Postcard and Parrots...

....oooh, I have a finish but I can't show you yet! It is for the Initial Heart swap and my partner is yet to receive her heart from me but I can tell you I am very happy with how it has turned out.  As soon as I can I will post some pics.

I can show you this gorgeous postcard pattern I received from my dear friend, Chiara from The Grey Tail. Isn't it a cute design?

I also received in the mail some Snooty Parrots scissor fobs for me to put on my scissors whilst stitching my Snooty Parrots SAL.

... and lastly, here are some kitty cat photos.  So cute - Furio is all curled up whilst Milo is stretched out to Billy Oh.

Now, don't forget to join in my Grow Your Party Giveaway fun on this post here or visit all of the other partygoers via Vicki's blog here.

hugs,

Well, 3 things! First, I'm cracking up looking at that photo of Milo & Furio but my eye mainly caught what they're lying on! I purchased something recently & it's almost that exact same pattern & colors. Second, I've seen so many people starting to stitch that parrot piece ... how great to find a parrot fob to go with it : ) Lastly, great gift from The Grey Tail! I hope all is well, my friend!

Lovely postcard, very clever to send a chart as a card.

The Snooty Parrots are great too. It's very tempting to join in just to be able to get some of the lovely goodies!
