About Me

My photo
My name is Kaye and I am 58 years old. Unbelievably to me, at my age, I have now just embarked upon my third career - as a History Education Consultant! I love to cross stitch and quilt, especially with my kittens, Furio and Milo "helping" me. I also love to read, I have a passion for history and I have been cooking since I was about 12 - move over Junior Masterchef! So, this blog, which started out as a cross stitch blog sometimes morphs into a reading journal or a history lesson (sorry, I used to be a secondary teacher before I became a publisher and now a consultant) or a post about my cooking mojo. Whatever it is, this blog is alway about me, my family and my life here in Eaglemont, Victoria. I have been happily married for over 30 years to the most wonderful man and we are blessed with three beautiful grown up children.

Buttons, Buttons, Buttons....

I was in Sydney last week/weekend on a work trip but lucky for me, one of my lunch time meetings was in the Historical Rocks area.  And in Nurse's Walk there is this marvellous button shop called, aptly, Buttons, Buttons, Buttons.

So, naturally, a little bit of Button Stash Empire building took place!  Now, as you scroll down through the pics, you might notice that there is a bit of a theme occurring - can you guess what it might be?

Yep, you guessed it!  Lots of cat buttons - I am not obsessed, am I?

Have a great day,

hugs,

I've been to that shop too, isn't it a treasure trove. Lovely selection of buttons, and I think maybe you do have a little obsession brewing.

What lovely buttons! I have never been to a button shop before--don't even know where one is! But it sure looks like it's a fun place and you must have had a wonderful time! All the kitty buttons are SO cute--and I also like those bunnies in their little dresses! I will be looking to see how you use them! What a fun shopping day!

Alas, I spoke too soon. Tried the link but it fails. Tried finding it on a search but can only find info, not a website. Sigh!

You started out well, a mixture of Christmas and cats. Then the cats took over, as they do!

OMG, this is exactly the kind of store that I miss. I love buttons and I love to add them to my little pillow finishings. You can never have enough of them would be my motto if I had such a store anywhere nearby.

Oh, how wonderful! I would have loved visiting the button store, too--you sure came home with some darling buttons, Kaye!

I'm partial to the cat buttons myself (especially the little black cats) so no I don't think you are obsessed at all. :) Such a lovely selection!
