About Me

My photo
My name is Kaye and I am 58 years old. Unbelievably to me, at my age, I have now just embarked upon my third career - as a History Education Consultant! I love to cross stitch and quilt, especially with my kittens, Furio and Milo "helping" me. I also love to read, I have a passion for history and I have been cooking since I was about 12 - move over Junior Masterchef! So, this blog, which started out as a cross stitch blog sometimes morphs into a reading journal or a history lesson (sorry, I used to be a secondary teacher before I became a publisher and now a consultant) or a post about my cooking mojo. Whatever it is, this blog is alway about me, my family and my life here in Eaglemont, Victoria. I have been happily married for over 30 years to the most wonderful man and we are blessed with three beautiful grown up children.

.... and the Christmas stitching continues....

... as does my Little Sheep Virtues SAL.

This is the Little Sheep Virtues SAL I am doing with I am doing with Sarah, Lija and Anne. I am now working on "Love"
.
(sorry, for some reason all of my photos are looking washed out today - must be the grey, old day we have so far today).

Then, I have been stitching on

This is Raggedy Tree - stitched on 28 ct silk/linen and I changed some the threads.

... and then I started on  Christmas Stocking:  again, 28 ct silk/linen and a few thread changes .  This still has some branches, a border and the words Bah Humbug to be added.

Well, that is all from me today.  How is your Christmas stitching going?

hugs,

I love your cute stitching!
I MUST get mine in order and get going! I'm afraid I'm behind on it, but I'll have a few new things for this year, I'm sure! (small things...like ornaments!! LOL)

Lovely Christmas stitching. I can get the stitching done with no problem, it's the finishing that slows me way down!

Well your sheep are coming along nicely, and the christmas stitching is looking beautiful. The colour change on the Raggedy Tree looks perfect... enjoy the rest of the christmas stitching.

Wonderful progress on your WIPs. Is the Sue Hillis chart a new one or a golden oldie?
