For want of a better title... A stitchy update....

I have quite a few different projects on the go, as I am sure you all well know by now.  So, I thought it was time for an update....

Let's start with my Mystery SAL ... as usual, and as I love to do, I am drawing a bit of a long bow with my next Tudor Tuesdays SAL project.

I have chosen to stitch the wonderful Nora Corbett Mystery SAL, "Wherefore art thou".

Now, the logic goes like this....

The design for "Wherefore art thou" is Romeo and Juliet, written by Shakespeare, who was an Elizabethan, Elizabeth I was a Tudor monarch - so voila! Tudor Tuesdays!

This is my before pic ...

and my progress pic...

The fabric colour is truer in the second pic.

The colours in this design are truly stunning, so I am really looking forward to working on this one ... and today is Tuesday again, so time to stitch on this again! Look out for an update tomorrow on my Tudor Tuesdays SAL blog.

Next up is my map of Westeros, which is what I am stitching on when I watch Game of Thrones Series 6 (which I first wrote about in this post, here). Each picture represents an episode from the current series.  As you can see, not a lot of progress each viewing - probably because each episode is so gripping that I get too engrossed to stitch - lol!

Still, it is all good fun to stitch on whilst I watch.

Speaking of watching TV my other TV related project is the Outlander Sampler, which you can read about in the same post as above. I am stitching on this as I watch Season 2.

Ist episode:

2nd episode:

I am collecting episodes, so that one of these nights I can have a marathon Outlander stitching session.

... and my last stitchy update for now, is my progress on my UFO, Thirteen Colonies (which I picked up again last Friday after four years!

It is moving along nicely now, I even have a couple of sheep!

So, that is all from me today.

hugs,

Watching some programmes is not condusive to stitching a lot, I always seem to have a frog visit when I am engrossed in a TV programme.
DH and I still have Season 5 of GOT to watch but I do have Outlander Series 1 on DVD that my son bought me so I can indulge in that often lol

I was able to catch up on your blog today. I am so glad I started with Saturday Detention and ended up on today. I am so amazed at how people I am sure can rationalized how they treat others... Love your teapot. WOW So very pretty. Your wips are always fun thank you for sharing.

Lovely work on everything! I'm looking forward to seeing Wherefore Art Thou since I haven't seen enough of it to decide if I want to get it. :)

Great work on all your pieces. It's a great idea tieing them in with your TV viewing!
I love the F in the middle of the sampler.

I admire that you are doing more projects at the same time!

Watching TV and stitching rarely works for me, so I'm impressed that you can do it. Terrific projects and a great idea to tie them into what you're watching.

And hello again Kaye,

I love seeing these SALs that have sprung up for fans of Game of Thrones and/or Outlander to stitch along to. But I would not be able to do this myself I'm afraid. If I am watching a program or movie on TV I always have my eye on the screen and can never get any stitching done. Or ... even worse ... I make many, many mistakes. Oh well.

I love the "F" (for Fraser? Of course) that you're working on. That colour combo is gorgeous. And Thirteen Colonies is coming along nicely. I see it has the world famous LHN sheep included. I look forward to seeing this one emerge and grow from your needles.

Cheers!

I like your train of thought regarding Wherefore Art Thou:)
Lovely stitching on all your projects.

Your logic makes perfect sense to me about Tudor Tuesdays! After all, didn't the bard make many references to the Queen in his plays? Love all your stitching!

What a wonderful variety of projects! I agree with Margaret about your Tutor shoehorning. I can't watch TV and stitch which is why I let hubby have free rein with the remote control - I'm too busy stitching!

I can follow your logic easily, Kaye, lol.
Sometimes I also stitch on certain projects when watching a special movie or series. Can you believe that I haven't watched a single episode of Outlander? I think I have to buy the DVDs.
Great progress on your WIPs.

Oh, that Thirteen Colonies piece has always interested me, Kaye (since I live in one of them!) I really look forward to seeing your progress on all of these WIPs!
