Taiwanese visitors....

Thought that I might just warn you that I might be a bit in absentia from blogland over the next week or two as we have visitors from Taiwan staying with us this week and next week I may be going up to Roma to stay with DS1 and DDIL.  The visitors are my DDIL's mother and her brother, Sophia and Vincent (that is their 'English' names).

It is the first time that they have visited Australia and I think, the first time that they have actually visited a non-Asian country.  Vincent speaks some English and Sophia, a little bit, of course, to my shame, my Mandarin is almost non-existent.

So, we picked them up from the airport yesterday morning and, as they were keen to start sightseeing straight away, we headed to Werribee Mansion to show them a colonial grand home and then to lunch at the nearby Shadowfax Winery.

Werribee Mansion is just stunning, it was completed in 1877 by the Chirnside brothers, wealthy landowners. It is in the Italianate style.

 Warning: Pic heavy!

Marvellous, isn't it?

hugs,

Great to see all these pictures of the wonderful mansion. It always amazes me how tiny the bathrooms in such big houses are in comparison to all he other rooms and the hallways.
Have a lot of fun with your visitors.
