Finally, a stitchy update!

Oh dear,  my last several posts have not shown much stitchy progress, but I promise I have been stitching.... as usual, a little of this and a little of that....

1. MiddleEarth Map (LOTR) SAL - 5 days of stitching a month starting on the 25th of each month:
Session 1 progress (not as much as I would have liked - sigh!):

2. Quaker Christmas II SAL with Amanda (see sidebar) - a Wednesday night SAL - this is two evening's stitching - pretty pleased with this:

3. Vanity SAL (The Dressmaker's Daughter - see Sidebar) - going slowly, also:

4. Santa's 12 Days of Christmas SAL (with Debbie and Linda - see sidebar) - Sunday night SAL.  This first pic is where I was before last Sunday and the next one is my current progress.  After lots of false starts (I lost the pattern twice!!!!!), I am now really on track with this - really happy!

5. Plus I have been doing some secret Christmas exchange stitching - which I can't show you - sorry!

Well, I had better go catch my train now.

Love to you all,

DAY 3 GIFT of 11 Days of Kaisievic's Birthday

Hi everyone, I have decided that it might have been a bit confusing for people if I kept updating the same post - so I have decided to go with a new post for each new day's gift from now on.

If you want to check out Day 1 and Day 2 GIFTS and want to read the rules, then please visit this previous post.  If you would like to win either Day 1 or Day 2 Gifts - please comment on this first post.

Now, here is my DAY 3 GIFT to you all:

Isn't this a cute little gift?  It is a little hand warmer.  It has a liquid insert which can be reheated as many times as you like and it can warm your hands. I thought that maybe those of you who are moving into Winter might like this as a present.

So, if you would like to win Day 3's Gift, comment on this post and let me know.

I thought that I would show off my new Doona cover set which DS1, DD and DS2 bought me for my birthday:

Of course, it was bought under my instructions - to make sure it was the one I liked.  I think it is very pretty and makes a real change from the other designs which I have on my doona covers.

Some stitching progress:

First, the Summer Garden Travelling Pattern is coming along well. I work on this every morning on the train on my way to work.  What a lovely way to start the day!

Mouse, the pink thread in the body of the birdhouse is the Secondhand Rose which you so kindly sent to me.
When I am finished - the TP will be moving on - so if you think that you might be interested - watch this space!

I am also doing the VANITY SAL of The Dressmaker's Daughter (Mirabilia) being run by Fiori Crocette.

Here is my floss toss and my start:

Planning to do some more stitching now as TraderVic and I are planning to watch Warhorse tonight.  We have been out all day at a 21st birthday party - it was lots of fun but feeling a bit weary now

.... and don't forget to check out Day 1 and Day 2 GIFT of 11 Days of Kaisievic's Birthday and if you would like to play, please comment on this previous post.

hugs,
