GG and TUSAL post ... both late......

Well, I am running a bit late on my posting this month for both my TUSAL and my Gifted Gorgeousness but I am here now, so here goes.  First up is this month's ORTS, I must have been very thrifty this month as I did stitch a lot but do not seem to have many ORTs in my tins.

Now, before I go onto GG, I must show off my latest pics of my furbabies, firstly Furio amongst my books, photos and stitching .....

Now, I am stitching on some GG pieces but they will have to wait for another time, I did want to show you what my dear friend, June, sent me as a thank you for the Swapaway gifts I sent her earlier this year.

A gorgeous Christmas stitchery which looks fabulous here with all of my other stitched pieces.

 Plus some other sweet goodies including lots of cards with kitty cats.

Two month TUSAL...

As I forgot to post last month's ORTs, I have a very full tin this month.  Lots of stitching and some knitting yarn has popped in there, too.

... and here is what the yarn has been all about this month - I knitted a cute beret to wear to work.

So, that is all for me now, as I am off to visit my Dad but later today, I will post my Gifted Gorgeousness post where I have a Happy Dance (or two).

TUSAL Update for June...

... This time I have taken the picture of my ORTs next to the chess set which TraderVic and I bought in Harrods in London in 1986.  It was our first overseas trip and when we were due to head home after backpacking around Europe for six weeks we had some pounds sterling over, so we lashed out and bought this gorgeous chess set.  The two sides represent the American War of Independence: the blue pawns are the minute men, the blue bishop is Benjamin Franklin, the blue Queen is Betsy Ross sewing the flag and the King is George Washington, of course and so on.  The Red side is the British, so the King George III, etc.

My TUSAL vase is filling up quite nicely.

On another note, yesterday I had to drive to beautiful Berwick to brief an author.  We organised to meet in the Primary Restaurant in the pretty Pioneer Park.

As we had only every spoken on the phone or by email, I said that I would wear a red hat so as to be easily recognised.  Here I am, all rugged up.

On the health front, I am still having digestive system issues and when we went to the theatre the other night (which I will tell you all about next post), I sort of stumbled/fell down some steps when they went from a shallow to a deep drop and I have hurt my ankle.  Badly enough that I have had to go to the Osteopath today who said that the joint is badly impacted and if there is no improvement in the next couple of days I may need to have an Xray to see if I have, in fact, broken it.  And, of course, because I am now limping, it is throwing my back out!

So, in all, I am physically feeling a bit of a wreck and definitely feeling every one of my 56+ years - lol!

IHSW and TUSAL update...

.... only a couple of days late.

First of all, here is my TUSAL update - as you can see, lots of wool ORTs this month.

I stitched some more on my Prairie Schooler Santa's Twelve Days of Christmas SAL which I do with my dear friend,  Linda.

Then I finished stitching my pink version of "Counting"  I used some antique buttons and found some perfect material to complement it in my patchwork stash.

Furio seemed to like the finished product.

... and just to end, here is Furio "watching" Outlander" - lol!

Well, that is it for me tonight, off to watch some more Outlander.

It is a new moon....

.... so it must be TUSAL time...

TUSAL March update and FNSI update...

... ... well, here I am - a few day's late again!  I am so sorry, my stitching mojo is going so strong (although very erratic in what I find myself stitching) but my blogging mojo is very sluggish at the moment.  I am so far behind on my blog reading and commenting and on replying to my bloggy emails and I just can't seem to get a lot of enthusiasm to blog much at the moment.  I want to blog but the effort of actually writing the post seems to be too much at the moment!  Work is very busy, we are still busy with our family (even more now in a way due to them being scattered to the wind) and we have just had some bad news around my dear father's health, which I think is going to add another layer of complexity to my life.

Oh well, at least blogland is always there, waiting for us to return - so here I am today and I will endeavour to stop my whinging and complaining and show you some stitching instead!

I am, also doing some special stitching and finishing for my Friends Swapaway (which I am far behind on also - sorry Butterfly and Kim) but I will keep that secret for now.

Yesterday morning, when I got up this is what I saw from my back deck:

hot air balloons in the far distance.

And this morning, my rose bushes were looking very pretty:

... and I wish to plant some more in this bare garden bed.

Lastly, my baking mojo came back this afternoon.  I made some Coconut and honey popcorn (oh so easy to make) and some Coconut and golden syrup cookies (both used coconut oil, which apparently is the new big superfood).

Well, that is all for me for now!
