Okay, yet another fabulous birthday outing!

Last Friday, my dear friend, Marie, and I went to see the fabulous Edith Head and Hollywood Fashion exhibition at Bendigo Art Gallery.  It was a belated birthday treat from Marie.

A fabulous birthday outing....

Oh, I had such a lovely day today.  Two of my very dearest friends, Heather and Franca (we met when our lovely daughters became friends in Grade 3! About eighteen years ago now!) took me out to the Yarra Valley for a birthday outing.

We ate lunch at the absolutely gorgeous Tarrawarra Estate. There is a great restaurant (where the chef cooks with a lot of produce from the estate's kitchen garden), an art gallery and a cellar door, naturally.

Thank you, Heather and Franca, for a great day out!  Love you both, so much.

94!

My Dear Dad turned 94 yesterday!  I know, amazing, isn't it?  Especially considering he spent 3 and a half years as a POW in WWII in the infamous Changi prison in Singapore.

 My Dear Sister 2, my DS1 and I took him out for dinner at a local Italian restaurant.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented.

DS1 had lamb shanks

I had Duck pilaf

Dear Dad had eye fillet steak

Dear Sister 2 had Chicken Caponata


Dad really enjoyed his steak!

My Dad is one of the most marvellous people that I know and I love him dearly.

Happy Birthday Dad, I love you.
