Some stitchy progress...and a lovely, unexpected gift!

Hi my darling stitchy friends,

I am back safe and sound from my work trip to Sydney - which went really well - my meetings were all successful - yay!  And I even managed to get some stitching (and shopping) done - double yay!  But without anymore ado - here is my stitching update:

Quaker Christmas II "Songs of the Season" Before:

Progress pic (sorry no time to iron) - really pleased with how this is shaping up - although Amanda is going great guns with this - much better than me.  Check out her progress and that of Evalina via the links on my sidebar, if you want to see how they are going.

Middle Earth Map (LOTR) - Before:

(Lack of) Progress pic - the Frog Prince has been having a sleepover and I just cannot get rid of him!!!!

Summer Garden Travelling Pattern Before:

Progress Pic (sorry, again no time to iron):

.....and lastly, I received the most gorgeous little mitten scissor fob as an unexpected gift from my darling friend, Cucki.  They are just perfect with my little scissors which I use for my train stitching (ie the stitching I do on the train on the way to work).

Just to give you an idea of the cute size of my scissors and the fob - I took a photo of them next to a pair of my normal-sized scissors.

Thank you dear Cucki, you are so sweet!

hugs to you all,

Finally, a stitchy update!

Oh dear,  my last several posts have not shown much stitchy progress, but I promise I have been stitching.... as usual, a little of this and a little of that....

1. MiddleEarth Map (LOTR) SAL - 5 days of stitching a month starting on the 25th of each month:
Session 1 progress (not as much as I would have liked - sigh!):

2. Quaker Christmas II SAL with Amanda (see sidebar) - a Wednesday night SAL - this is two evening's stitching - pretty pleased with this:

3. Vanity SAL (The Dressmaker's Daughter - see Sidebar) - going slowly, also:

4. Santa's 12 Days of Christmas SAL (with Debbie and Linda - see sidebar) - Sunday night SAL.  This first pic is where I was before last Sunday and the next one is my current progress.  After lots of false starts (I lost the pattern twice!!!!!), I am now really on track with this - really happy!

5. Plus I have been doing some secret Christmas exchange stitching - which I can't show you - sorry!

Well, I had better go catch my train now.

Love to you all,

Too Blue.....

Oh dear, I am feeling SO BLUE at the moment that I didn't even feel like stitching last night and I had been so looking forward to working some more on my MiddleEarth Map SAL.  (Sigh!)

I am just TOO BLUE, instead of being my usual TRUE BLUE (which is a phrase we use here in Australia for being Dinky Di or All Right, Mate).

Hopefully, I will be out of my Funk by tonight and get some good stitching time in on one of my many projects.

Anyway, I wish everyone a good day, and my prayers and thoughts are with everyone on the East Coast of America - I hope that Sandy blows herself out soon.

hugs,
