Time for the Travelling Pattern to travel.....

Well, the Travelling Pattern is finished - amorphous stars and all!

Thanks for all the excellent advice re the stars but despite most of you advising restitching in 221, I have been contrary and stuck with Independence (hmm! I was being Independent! lol!).  Now, to decide how to finish it.....

So, this means that the Travelling Pattern is ready to move on to some other wonderful stitcher.  As well as the design,  the winner of the TP will also receive gifts which spell out FLAG.  I have collected a few things already but still working on them (and what they all are will be a surprise until I announce the winner).

So, the rules to win are:

1. Be a follower of my blog,
2. Have an active blog yourself (so you can pass on the traveling pattern!),
3. Leave a comment on this post.
4. Be willing to add gifts which spell out FLAG when you pass the Travelling Pattern along.

If you would like to play with me, please comment on this post by next Sunday, 21st September.

Previous stitchers of Land of Liberty are:

Sarah from Sarah in Stitches (who started the fun)

Penny from Larkspur Lane

Kaye from Kitten Stitching

So, who will be next?

An honest opinion, please.....

.... on my stars for Land of Liberty.  I am not sure about them.  I thought that I would mix it up a little, so instead of using the called for DMC 221, I used Weeks Dye Works Independence, which I have been wanting to use for a while.  But, I am a bit worried that they don't quite look like stars now but a bit like amorphous blobs (I did backstitch them to give them more definition).

Anyway, I would really appreciate your thoughts on my stars.  Thanks everyone.

At the rate my train/plane stitching is going on this piece, I may even be finished by the end of the week, so watch out for a post about passing the Travelling Pattern on, you may be next!

Look what arrived in the mail.....

.... a Travelling Pattern from Penny of Larkspur Lane, which originated with Sarah from Sarah in Stitches.  I will now stitch it and then who knows where it will go next?  Maybe to you?

The TP is Land of Liberty by Bent Creek and as well as the pattern, I was sent gifts which spelt out FLAG.

So, I received:

F = Fabbie
L = Linen
A = Accessoriex
G = Glass Ornie

So, I have spent three nights stitching on it so far, here are my progress pics:

It is coming up really well, I think. Thank you so much Penny (and Sarah), I am thrilled to be stitching this and Penny, I love all of my gifts.

So, if you think you might like to be the next lucky stitcher, to stitch this - keep an eye out, as soon as I am finished I will post about it and you will have a chance to enter.

Have a good day, everyone,

Two little bunnies.....

The other day I was lucky enough to receive this sweet little bunny pattern from Cucki which is a Travelling Pattern started by Grace, and so far has been stitched by Leila (no blog) as well.  After me, it is going to Chiara, where the little bunny travels to after Italy I am not sure.  It is a lovely stitch to make and so quick that I have made two already and am planning a third.

The package arrived with lots of goodies for us to share.  Each stitcher has added threads, beads, ribbons and fabbie for the others to choose from to enhance the stitching.  I look forward to adding my bibs and bobs before I send it on:

... and here are my two bunnies side by side.....

.... and some close ups - each bunny is slightly different....

I think that I am going to make them into needle books (now that I have mastered that technique) or maybe one needle book and one scissor fob.  Who knows?  I definitely know that a third little bunny is going to join the family.

Thanks to Grace for sending out Little Bunny into the world.

hugs,
