About Me

My photo
My name is Kaye and I am 58 years old. Unbelievably to me, at my age, I have now just embarked upon my third career - as a History Education Consultant! I love to cross stitch and quilt, especially with my kittens, Furio and Milo "helping" me. I also love to read, I have a passion for history and I have been cooking since I was about 12 - move over Junior Masterchef! So, this blog, which started out as a cross stitch blog sometimes morphs into a reading journal or a history lesson (sorry, I used to be a secondary teacher before I became a publisher and now a consultant) or a post about my cooking mojo. Whatever it is, this blog is alway about me, my family and my life here in Eaglemont, Victoria. I have been happily married for over 30 years to the most wonderful man and we are blessed with three beautiful grown up children.

A kitty cat house guest...

As DS1 and his new wife have had to finally fly off to their new life in Roma, Queensland, we have been left with a furry houseguest: their kitty cat, Nobu.  When they are settled into their new accommodation Nobu's pet consultant, Brynne from Jetpets, will organise for him to fly up there, too (now who would have thought that cats would have their own travel consultants?) lol!

Would you like to meet Nobu?
Is there a cat hiding in this wardrobe?

Yes, there is!

Nobu is a very sweet-tempered cat, very friendly and very handsome.

Here he has finally ventured out of the back bedroom and is starting to explore the rest of the house.

DS2 giving him a cuddle.

Furio and Milo have not quite known what to make of this newcomer but apart from a few little hissing episodes from all parties, they are all tolerating each other pretty well.

Not sure how long Nobu will be with us, but I am loving having another kitty cat in the house.  Furbabies are so lovely.

hugs,

Love your new house guest Kaye. Does he also stitch? When he goes home you need to get a replacement.

What a cute kitty! Spoiled though... I don't have a travel consultant and I could certainly use one from time to time, lol.

He is very handsome - glad to hear he has a nice personality to match. A bit of hissing is normal - my two still have spats and they've been housemates for 5 years.

Oh, Nobu is adorable! His collar almost looks like a bowtie. :D We just got a new black and white ourselves and are dealing with a few hissings too. They'll adjust, eventually!
