FNSI.....

Well, after preparing myself with a health lunch (and Furio had some yummy Whiskas), Furio and I settled in to do some stitching for FNSI (hosted by the wonderful Wendy from Sugarlane Quilts).

I decided to stitch on one of my SDUCJC starts which was inspired by my dear friend, Shirlee from The Easily Influenced Stitcher, if you follow the link you can scroll down her 2014 finishes page to see her lovely stitching.

This is how much I had stitched before FNSI:

And here is dear Furio all ready to begin stitching:

... and this is where we finished last night.  We ended up going to bed early as there is only so much tennis/soccer/cricket a girl and kitty cat can take (oh boy! Aussie males are just too sports mad - Australian Open (tennis), Asian Cup (soccer) and the myriad forms that international cricket takes now - too, too much).

Portion of aWinter Sampler by Leisure Arts
Stitched on 28 count antique white linen
DMC: 3750 (as used by Shirlee)

I should get this piece finished today and then I have some new starts from Pineberry Lane all set up for SDUCJC2015.

Have a great day, everyone, hugs

Love silhouette style patterns - they can be very striking and I love the blue you're using. Furio looks like he's all ready to get started.

Beautiful stitching Kaye. Your stitching partner is beautiful also - my cats don't let me stitch - they have to be on my lap and my hands have to be on them not my work!!!lol

A beautiful piece! Love your stitching companion. The pics give a good idea of the size of your work too. I'm enjoying what I can watch of the Australian Open tennis given the time difference.

Beautiful stitching, Kaye! I feel your pain - my husband watches nearly every sport he can and it's just too much. Hugs to Furio! :D

Lovely progress Kaye and your dinner looks delicious!

I am lucky, the other half is not so fond of sports, instead computer games!

Love your stitching... and your stitching partner!!
I agree... too much sport can be very boring... can handle the cricket and the tennis but I am sorry to say soccer leaves me cold!!
Hugs xx
