Happy Halloween Blog Hop!

Happy Halloween everyone!

If you are taking part in Jo of Serendipitous Stitching's  Hallowe'en Blog Hop, then you will want to know what the mystery letter is.... here we go....  It is ......

H

Now, I am going to vary the blog hop a little (I hope that you don't mind, Jo) but one of my friends at work made this amazing skull cake for another friend's birthday.  It is just right for Halloween.

A progress pic.

The finished cake - isn't it stunning?
Now, please go visit Heather at "It's Geek to me" for the next letter.

Happy Halloween everyone, and I hope that all our friends in the U.S.A have all survived Hurricane Sandy.  My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Too Blue.....

Oh dear, I am feeling SO BLUE at the moment that I didn't even feel like stitching last night and I had been so looking forward to working some more on my MiddleEarth Map SAL.  (Sigh!)

I am just TOO BLUE, instead of being my usual TRUE BLUE (which is a phrase we use here in Australia for being Dinky Di or All Right, Mate).

Hopefully, I will be out of my Funk by tonight and get some good stitching time in on one of my many projects.

Anyway, I wish everyone a good day, and my prayers and thoughts are with everyone on the East Coast of America - I hope that Sandy blows herself out soon.

So clever.....

One of my History authors sent me this great picture of a poster from the London Underground - isn't it clever?   (.... and you all know how passionate I am about the Tudors)

...and here is a kitten pic. No, not Furio, but this is Chili. Chili is the fur baby of one of my work colleagues.  You must agree that Chili has quite a commanding presence!

Day 10 and 11 Gifts of 11 Days of Kaisievic's Birthday Giveaway....

Oh dear, not quite sure where yesterday went... well, I do because I actually did lots of errands and had a nice lunch outing - but anyway, the day disappeared and all of a sudden I had forgotten to post my Day 10 Gift!

So here we go - Day 10's GIFT:

A wooden ornament cross stitch kit - 6 different designs.  Something a bit different, I thought.

And here is my FINAL GIFT - Day 11's GIFT:

Three Christmassy magazines:

Realistically, I cannot see me getting organised to work out all of the winners until next weekend.  So, this 11 Days of Kaisievic's Giveaway will be OPEN UNTIL FRIDAY, 26th OCT.  So, don't forget to join in the fun!  Just check out my other posts for the Gifts for Days 1 to 9.

I mentioned that yesterday I went out for lunch.  My DF, Anne, and I almost share birthdays - we are a day apart and a couple of years apart, too.  So, each year, we like to have a birthday lunch.

We usually go to this lovely cafe attached to a nursery, called Town and Country Gardens in North Balwyn.

We had a lot of fun.

Have a good day, everyone,

DAY 9 of 11 Days of Kaisievic's Birthday Giveaway

Hi everyone,

I hope that you are having as much fun with is Giveaway as I am?  It gives me a lot of pleasure to choose Gifts to offer to you all.

Here is DAY 9'S GIFT:

A craft book and two complementary fat quarters.

Comment on this post if you would like a chance to win this Gift and don't forget to check out the Gifts from Days 1 to 8 on my previous posts - you can enter for any or all Gifts but you can only win one.

Last night TraderVic and I went to the movies.  It is such a pleasure to now be working in the City, as we can now make spur of the moment decisions like this to go out.  I just walked (4 km) from my office to the historic area of Carlton (our Little Italy) where we met up and had a bowl of pasta and then went to see the film.  We saw "Beasts of the Southern Wild" - a really interesting film, I can recommend it.

Have a great day everyone, I am going to finish my latte, read a few blogs and then it is off to work I go.

hugs,
