12 Days of Christmas in Blogland - Day 8, a second giveaway from me

Hello lovely bloggers,

I thought that I would like to have a second giveaway as part of my 12 Days... challenge.  So, please comment on this post only, if you would like to win the following prize:

A cute little notepad and a tube of udder hand cream - you can check out my post here to find out all about the wonderful udder cream.  (Now, this is actually my tube of udder cream but I will send the luck winner a brand new tube once the shop gets some back in stock).  I will draw the winner on January 6th.

It is very hot here in Melbourne this weekend - 35 degrees celsius yesterday, 40 degrees today and tomorrow and 37 on Tuesday!  Needless to say, the poor kittycats find this a bit hard going - here are some photos of Furio dealing with the heat:

For some reason, Furio sometimes likes to sleep on the ledge at the top of our spiral staircase well, this is the view from above:
... and various views from below:

Today is the first day of UCJC - My first start is Brave New Year from Heartstring Samplery.  I began by tea-dyeing some cream Lugano 25 count fabric:

Sorry, it actually looks better in real life.  I am using Olde Willow Stitchery Hand-dyed Quaker Colour threads - so far it is looking really good - I will post a progress picture tomorrow.  If you would like to see a picture of my design, just check out my UCJC page.

DS1 has just made some sensational pizzas for dinner (he makes the dough from scratch) and now DH, DS2 and I are going to play a new board game with him, The Settlers of Catan.  DS1 is moving out into his own apartment (a share house) at the end of the month - I am going to miss him dreadfully but at the same time I am so excited for him.  It is time he has a place of his own.

Anyway, sorry for the longish post and for rambling a bit.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE,

Hugs, Kaye xoxox

Hi Kaye, Happy New Year!
I can not believe your kitty.. well I can as they do like to sleep in precarious places at times!... but what a place to sleep. Has he ever rolled off?

I would love to be included in your giveaway draw for that great cream and the cute notepad!

I will add your 2nd giveaway to my sidebar.

We have such a cool day here in Perth today... which is lovely after the very warm days we have recently had. I feel for you with the 40 deg day... Melb would not be a nice place to be when it's that hot.

Take care, stay cool
Hugs

Hi Kaye, Love the kitty pictures as always. I'd be afraid he'd roll off the ledge and hurt himself. I just love the Udder cream and can't find it here. Please enter me in your giveaway.

Thanks, Linda

Your kitty looks comfy. I am a paranoid person though and would be afraid he would stretch and fall off lol. Love the udder cream and have never seen it with a pretty container. All mine are black and white.

Furio is gorgeous, I bet he gets a draft from somewhere. I am in East Gippsland, and we have it hot also, but we have a nice cool day today.
