About Me

My photo
My name is Kaye and I am 58 years old. Unbelievably to me, at my age, I have now just embarked upon my third career - as a History Education Consultant! I love to cross stitch and quilt, especially with my kittens, Furio and Milo "helping" me. I also love to read, I have a passion for history and I have been cooking since I was about 12 - move over Junior Masterchef! So, this blog, which started out as a cross stitch blog sometimes morphs into a reading journal or a history lesson (sorry, I used to be a secondary teacher before I became a publisher and now a consultant) or a post about my cooking mojo. Whatever it is, this blog is alway about me, my family and my life here in Eaglemont, Victoria. I have been happily married for over 30 years to the most wonderful man and we are blessed with three beautiful grown up children.

Thanks for all the good wishes...

.... thank you so much everyone for your positive thoughts and good wishes - yes, my week did get better eventually!

But first.... yesterday morning after writing that post - on the way to work my train dumped me at one end of the city from work - so I had to walk from one end of the city to the other to get to my office and then I misplaced my work fob so I couldn't even get in the building!

But, things did pick up and improve:

  1. Bag straps are fixed - TICK
  2. Watch has been sent to be repaired and a new battery put in another watch - so now I can tell the time - TICK
  3. Located my camera (left it at my girlfriend's place after Bookclub Xmas dinner) - TICK
  4. Located my work power cord (left it at the school where I gave my presentation) but have organised to have it returned to me - TICK
  5. I have nearly finished frogging Songs of the Season - TICK
  6. The walk to work when the trains played up was good exercise - TICK
  7. I found my work fob - TICK
then things really picked up.. we had our work team Christmas lunch  - Thai food - yum! and had our KK - so much fun.  I received a fondue set and some yummy Haigh's dessert chocolate to melt in it. Lovely!

and then it was my DF Evan's 30th birthday, so it was off for Birthday drinks after work and a good time was had by all!

So, really when I think about it - all of these issues are really 1st world problems and life is really pretty good.

So, an early Merry Xmas to you all,

from a very happy kitten.....

hugs,
