Well, she is having a really bad week this week and is not well at all. I fear that she will not be with us for much longer. I know that she is 91 and has had a long life (in fact she and Dad both feel that they have been blessed with a much longer life than they ever could have imagined) but it is still hard for us all to see her feeling so unwell and so low. My poor Dad is getting very weary and I know that he fears a life without her - they have been married 67 years and I think that their strong marriage is what allowed him to recover from the horrors of being a POW in Changi during WWII).
So, please spare a thought and a prayer for her as you go about your day today,

Kaye - my heart goes out to you. I know what you are going through. My mother - my WONDERFUL mother - my Energizer Bunny - had a massive stroke about a month ago. It has been heart wrenching to see her work through her issues. My dear step father has had a reoccurrence of colon cancer and goes in for more surgery next week. I lost my mom last summer, a week after my birthday.
I so pray for you and your mum and your dad.
I hope and pray that when the time comes, you will be at peace and know that she is not really gone. She is only going to be different.

I will send my positive energies and thoughts towards your Mum. Having just lost my Mum (she was 62) I know how hard it is to loose a parent I don't think it matters how long of a life they've had, if it was sudden or a long illness. It hurts.
Make sure you talk to your Mum every day! Someone recently asked me when was the last time I talked to my Mum before she passsed and it saddens me to think I can't remember when.

It is so very difficult to watch our parents age and fail, isn't it, Kaye? I am going through a very similar time with my 86 year old parents and it just breaks my heart to think of life without them... Thinking of you all!
